This infuriated Maa Parvati, seeing Maa Parvati angered Lord Shiva tried to leave but Maa Parvati felt insulted and took Her ten forms as Dus Mahavidyas and blocked all ten directions making Lord Shiva understand that She is all aspects of life and the universe. The Dus Mahavidya Goddesses has profound influence in Tantra Yog, Kundalini Yoga and even Vedic Astrology.
