Sudarshana Chakra is the Divine discus of Lord Vishnu; it is a most powerful weapon which also symbolizes supreme protection in the Lord’s Hands. Lord Sudarshan is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu in His Sudarshana Chakra form. The word Sudarshana is combination of two words ‘Su’ which means auspicious and ‘Darshana’ which means vision or too see. Thus, Sudarshana means auspicious vision to auspicious to look at. Lord Mahavishnu adorns the Sudarshana Chakra on His right-hand index finger. As per scriptures the Chaka is spinning and has 108 edges using which Lord Vishnu destroys adharma and all evils. Some texts state that Lord Vishvakarma created the Sudarshan Chakra and handed it to Lord Mahavishnu. Others state that Lord Vishnu always possessed the Chakra since the beginning of creation. The Rig Veda mentions the Sudarshana Chakra as a representation of the Lord Himself.   

Sudarshana Homam is a powerful ritual performed to gain supreme protection against all negativities, get relief from health issues and other miseries and invite auspiciousness and positivity in life. The Homa provides instant relief from pain and suffering, known as Pida Pradanam, and destroys all sins, known as Papa Nashanam. As per legends, an entire community was cured of a serious epidemic by chanting Sudarshana Ashtakam. Sudarshana Homam also destroys all hurdles and obstacles from the path of success and blesses devotees with success and prosperity. The powerful ritual removes all planetary doshas and their malefic effects and evil eye by eliminating all negative vibrations. It also blesses devotees with confidence, vigour, vitality and energy to overcome all adversaries and enemies.
